OneTutor in Your LMS via LTI

OneTutor now plugs directly into your institution's LMS through LTI 1.3, so Learners get personal AI tutoring right inside their courses. This feature is available now and is activated per institution.

What's New

OneTutor connects to Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, and other LTI-compatible platforms via the LTI 1.3 standard. Instead of a separate tool with its own login, OneTutor appears directly in the course, an AI-tutor grounded in your materials. Because it's activated per institution, your IT team sets it up once, and it's available across your courses. 🔌

How It Works

LTI 1.3 acts as a universal adapter between your LMS and OneTutor. Three things matter in daily use:

  • One login: Learners sign in through the LMS and reach OneTutor with no second password or separate account.
  • In the right place: Instructors embed OneTutor exactly where it belongs in a course, as its own activity in the relevant week or module.
  • Secure data exchange: Login and data transfer run encrypted and authenticated, meeting the security and data-protection expectations of IT and platform providers.

Getting Started

To go live, your LMS administrator activates the LTI connection for your institution. Once set up, Instructors can add OneTutor to any course, and Learners reach it in a single click — no extra accounts, no jumping out of the course. ✅

For a step-by-step walkthrough, see our guide on embedding OneTutor in Moodle.

Good to Know

LTI handles the connection; unfortunately, there is no content sync via LTI. To make the content available in OneTutor, upload it there separately.

If OneTutor isn't visible at your institution yet, contact us at contact@onetutor.ai and we'll help you get set up.
