AI will fundamentally change education. One thing will not: universities are hubs for collaborative learning, for meeting like-minded people, and for personal growth. The human part has to stay at the front. We are a team of former TUM students and a professor, bringing together experience from science, software development and business.

What we believe
The future of education is human and AI. Human experts will be needed to curate the AI.
Cohort based tutoring can surpass the level any individual tutor, human or AI, could ever reach.
Learning is a motivation problem, not a knowledge problem. Knowledge has been free since the internet, and MOOCs proved that access alone teaches no one.
Time to understanding cannot be shortened. How that time is composed can be, and that is where effectiveness comes from.
Rolling out AI tutors in education without studying their effects is irresponsible.
Our co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer, Prof. Dr. Alexander Pretschner, holds the Chair of Software and Systems Engineering at the Technical University of Munich, is Scientific Director of fortiss and a founding director of the bidt. That is why the last one is not a slogan.
