Socratic Tutor
Learners now have access to a Socratic Tutor, an AI-powered guide that doesn't give answers but helps them truly understand the material through guided dialogue.

Overview
The Socratic Tutor is now fully integrated across all OneTutor courses. Learners can easily access it from the Tools menu in the chat input bar, and it is automatically activated when they select “Get Help” before answering quiz questions.
How It Works
The Socratic Tutor mirrors what a great human tutor does: instead of handing out solutions, it asks the right questions, provides targeted hints, and helps Learners work through problems independently.
The result is deeper understanding, not just a correct answer. 🎯
When Learners Can Use It
Learners can engage the Socratic Tutor in three key moments:
- Before answering a question, to better understand what is being asked and build confidence before submitting
- While reading learning materials, to clarify concepts, explore connections, and check understanding in real time
- When asking open questions, to be guided step by step toward the solution instead of receiving direct answers
